Resortti Maisa is a new lakeside restaurant and event destination in historic Maisansalo, Tampere, on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi. Opening in summer 2026, the resort brings together a summer restaurant, Finnish sauna experiences, nature activities, weddings and corporate events as part of its phased development.
Developed in collaboration with Teiskon Vihreä Unelma Oy and Bufferi Oy, Resortti Maisa is designed to become a year-round destination where visitors can enjoy great food, Finnish lakeside culture, memorable events and the peaceful surroundings of Lake Näsijärvi.
What is Resortti Maisa?
Resortti Maisa is a new experience and event destination in Teisko, Tampere, located in historical Maisansalo. The term resort refers to the entire area with its numerous buildings. The resort is being developed in phases, and this summer marks just the first chapter in Maisa’s story!
This evolving service complex combines restaurant and terrace services, saunas, events, wellness activities, as well as private and corporate functions in a beautifully scenic lakeside landscape.
Maisa is being built in stages. The first phase, opening in the summer of 2026, includes:

Restaurantti Maisa is now open in historic Maisansalo, Tampere, welcoming guests to a new lakeside summer restaurant on the shores of Lake Näsijärvi. Located in the beautifully restored Manor House, the restaurant combines seasonal food, Finnish hospitality and stunning lake views in a relaxed summer setting.
The menu offers options for both larger and smaller appetites, café treats, and naturally, soft-serve ice cream for the whole family. Maisa’s summer restaurant provides a relaxed yet high-quality setting for lunches, dinners, and summer days spent by the lake. Maisa’s "cottage breakfast" is served on summer weekends.
The fully licensed restaurant also offers a selection of refreshing drinks tailored to adult tastes.
The restaurant operations at Resortti Maisa are managed by Bufferi Oy, well-known across the Pirkanmaa region for its high-quality restaurant and catering services.
At the heart of the restaurant are quality food, warm service, and an unhurried atmosphere.

Maisa’s atmospheric lakeside saunas can be heated upon request, and the sauna world alongside other wellness services will be continuously developed.
In the future, Maisa dreams of year-round sauna experiences: ice swimming in the winter and enjoying a dip in the clean waters of Lake Näsijärvi during the summer.
The design of the sauna area emphasizes well-being, closeness to nature, and the opportunity to slow down amidst everyday life.
